Parent Help!
Helping parents stay 'in the know'
Parenting is tough. Being a Christian parent in this culture? Really tough.
Here are several resources that I (Jason) have been encouraged and influenced by in almost 20 years of teaching, coaching, pastoring and parenting. All of these come highly recommended. While no book or website is going to give you all the answers in a tidy little package, these resources in particular, have a 'thumbs up' from me. Be sure to check back occasionally for updates to this. If you have a need that is not addressed here, feel free to email me for a more specific recommendation. Not sure where to start? Send me and email with what you're looking to learn and I'll point you in the right direction!

3. PROTECTION WHEN SURFING ONLINE...
Parents, many of you have expressed that you understand that your kids need (and desire) to use the family computer for school work, etc., but are concerned about their accessing information or sites, etc. that are inappropriate or even being accidentally exposed to images or content they weren't looking for. You are right to be concerned! While we want our kids to keep up with technology, we also want them to be safe while doing so.
You may want to watch this MSNBC clip if you have the time.
bsecureonline is a PC Magazine 'Editor's Choice,' carries an 'A+' rating from the Better Business Bureau and from the looks of it, is the software program to beat. It's worth mentioning, too, that not only does it provide a filter for content for computers/iPhones/iPads, etc., you can also set up a time management clock to manage the time spent online and even set it up to get a text message sent to your phone if your child or teen tries to access something objectionable. Good stuff. Check it out HERE.
