What's a LifeGroup?

At Community Church, LifeGroups are a vital and necessary part of our church's body life.

LifeGroup is a gathering of 6-12 individuals that meet in one another’s homes to experience Christian friendship, to discuss God & issues related to faith, pray together, serve and care for one another, offer accountability, and to find ways to export our faith into the world we live in. We know that attending a Sunday service alone will not bring a person to full maturity in faith, which is why it is our desire that every regular attendee of C.C.M.L. be connected to-and participate in-an active LifeGroup as a vital step towards maturation in their faith.

What are distinctives of C.C.M.L. LifeGroups?

  • Ideally, no larger than 12 per group. Once group exceeds 12, groups will often 'multiply' by creating another LifeGroup.

  • LifeGroups will take a balanced approach to all four elements of Fellowship, Group Discussion, Prayer & Service

  • Meet regularly (minimum of 2 times/mo., although some meet weekly.)

  • Led by Hosts in church member's homes

  • Must remain open to new members as well as be “Missional” as a group

  • LifeGroups are always in the process of developing new Hosts so that as LifeGroup members grow in their faith journey, they too, can serve CCML by serving in this important ministry.

  • Committed not only to serving one another, but to external ministry as well. Check out our Community Outreach page for what we're up to in our neighborhoods and our city.
