Elder Meeting Minutes for June 14
In Attendance: Gregg S., Paul E., David H., Ken R., John D., Tom C., Mike C
Devotions/Prayer: Tom – Deity
of Christ, Fully God and Fully Man, Christ deserves his rightful place in our
church, several passages from John
Approval of Secretary’s Report: Approved as submitted.
Approval of Treasurer’s Report: Approved
as submitted.
Pastor’s Report: Paul
Various Prayer requests/concerns shared
· Paul will be off the rest of the
business week on vacation.
· Ron/Jason have upcoming
vacations.
· Jason requesting to use the
Adult Classroom on Sunday mornings during CLT and Wednesday night. He has also requested to update the
East Classroom to paint and update and create a more youth friendly
environment. Elders approved the
use and updating with Paul’s approval. Any other requests for needs should be brought back to the board.
Ministry Team Reports:
Education – Tom Carney – No update. Andy adjusting to the new demands of
fatherhood.
Missions – Mike Curtis – Minutes sent to
Elders from May meeting. November
Missions Conference being finalized. Missions funds approved to go to support those going to the Fuller House
build in September.
Outreach – Gregg Salyers - Minutes from May
Meeting shared electronically.
Facilities – John Dean – 4-5 agenda items to be pursued for completion in the next 2 months.
New Business:
· Finalize Elder selection
o New Elders for next year
finalized and approved by Elders.
· Burmese rental agreement
o The sub-committee is finalizing
the rental agreement language and final details.
· Christian education strategy for Fall 2011
o Pray and Wait
· Unity
o The Elders will be praying and
seeking for the Spirit to speak to us.
· Strategy for staff reviews – are more detailed job expectations
needed?
o Tabled to the next meeting
· Tuesday, July 12th Date for July elder meeting?
o July 12th confirmed.
· Other costs – Computers, etc
o Ken to follow up with Paul
directly.
· Last months tabled staff salaries discussion
o We did not get to this
topic. It will be moved to next
month.
