Elder Meeting Minutes for Sept 13, 2011

In Attendance: Mike C., Tom C., Gregg S., Ken R., Paul E., John D., Paul C.

Devotions/Prayer:  Pastor Paul

                Acts 1:4 – Don’t leave Jerusalem, but wait for the Holy Spirit.

Acts 4:24 – People responded to John/Peter’s release with prayer.  They lift up God and ask for boldness and God to show himself.  The Holy Spirit then came.

Acts 13:1 – The Spirit spoke to the church/leaders of Antioch to send out Paul/Barnabas.  Paul didn’t confirm his own calling, but it came through Ananias.

Acts 15:25 - The leadership discussing the gospel going to the gentiles.  The instructions came from Holy Spirit leading the church.  “It seemed good of the Holy Spirit and to us.”

Approval of Secretary’s Report:  Approved as presented.

Approval of Treasurer’s Report: Approved as presented.

Pastor’s Report: Paul

                  Fuller Build – 12+ people from CCML served.

                  Dana Smith – Moved to St. Augustine, Florida.

                  John & Jenny Wilson  - Bought a new home outside Bargersville, still trying to sell their current home.

                  Ben Salyers/Caleb Wilson – Boys accepted Christ!

                  Ruth Hancock – Still healing physically and from Charlie’s passing.

      Burmese update – discussion of Pastor Paul’s e-mail

o  Paul to get update from Pastor Ci and present at the October Meeting.

·      Parking lot security

o  Facilities to follow-up with Jack Sandlin about security options and Paul with Police about renting.

·      Elder retreat

o  October 3rd, Evening activity.  Bring January dates for a retreat to the next meeting.

·      Other?

o  Spiritual New Week – Amy Dean knows someone possibly (John Cauldwell).

·      Tuesday, Oct 11th Date for next elder meeting?

o  October 11th @ 6:30pm.
